For Poway Only: We prefer to not capture and relocate non-venomous snakes, as there is no danger to people. These snakes are good to have around and taking them will affect the ecosystem. Additionally, these removals disrupt the overwhelming amount of rattlesnake calls we get. If you cannot stand snakes and have to have to removed, we charge a nominal fee based on our current backlog of pending rattlesnake calls.
All other areas in San Diego County have a nominal fee for snake removal service. This fee is used to recover the cost in gasoline it takes to drive to snake calls. It also offsets the wages Trapper Pat loses when he drops his day job to get a snake. The farther away from Poway, the higher fee. Please call to get a more accurate price.
We'll come to your house and show you ways you can make your property inhospitable for rattlesnakes. This will help to discourage them from coming back and they'll find more attractive places to stay. As a bonus, you'll get a small lecture about the local vegetation and animal life included.
On site snake consultation for Poway, Rancho Bernardo, Carmel Mountain, Saber Springs, and Scripps Ranch is $100 per consultation. The consultation usually last approximately one hour. This is a flat fee and does not prorate if the consultation is under or over one hour.
